I… I can’t believe it! I actually did it. Me! With whales, storms, and ghosts all around, I made it happen. I never imagined I’d push my limits this far. I’m so excited to get started again; I’ll need a bunch more jokes for the next few days, even if my friends didn’t seem too thrilled. They were probably just worn out. But first, I need to give my friends the magnet; maybe next time they’ll join me
The d’Amico Group is strengthening fleet efficiency through technical measures aimed at reducing fuel consumption and emissions. These actions support its decarbonisation strategy, improve operational performance, and contribute to compliance with environmental standards and long-term sustainability goals.
In 2024, d’Amico completed the transition from traditional to LED lighting across its fleet, resulting in an annual reduction of approximately 75.8 tons of CO₂ per ship and a total reduction of about 4,172 tons of CO₂ from the lighting upgrade alone.
Since 2021, the d’Amico Group has taken part in programs that promote reduced ship speeds to protect whales and lower environmental impact. In 2024, it joined the Protecting Blue Whales and Blue Skies initiative and received the Gold Award for high compliance. These measures have helped significantly reduce whale mortality and emissions.
Why on earth didn’t I just stay at my desk? The only big creature there was that broken coffee machine. What a nightmare! And can you believe some folks use whale songs as white noise? Wild, right? But I have to say, they’re stunning, majestic, the queens of the sea. Hats off to you!
